The first is Hattie McDaniel's--she had to be shocked six ways to Sunday, but she pulled it together and delivered one of the best speeches EVER with the sweetest "arc" I've ever seen. Because they had her seated way back in the damn cheap seats at the back of the room, she had a long-ass walk to get to the podium, which likely gave her time to both craft her excellent speech and put it to memory:



The other one is this one--strictly for the brevity!

seemed very displeased. MM also told us what would happen to our cities and no one listened.
