Wouldn't THAT be a novelty in a country who formerly bragged about freedom of the press. The only freedom we've had in the press, is corporate freedom to standardize the republican talking points.

The Telecommunications Act of 1996. Corporate media mergers accelerated mightily after that, making the 90s famous as the era of media consolidation.

Today, the mass media have basically lined up against progressives; even PBS and CBS have gone crazy. David Koch sits on the board of PBS flagship WGBH Boston, and the former VP of Fox News (from the Bush era) is now in charge of CBS News.

Between the Telecom Act and the repeal of Glass-Steagal, Bill Clinton has to be one of the most successful Reagan Democrats who ever lived.

We couldn't have asked for more republicanesque democrats. The DNC and "New Wave" democrats are going to be the end of our democracy. They've already been the end of the fight against republican totalitarianism.

Edited for grammar....

Don't let the GOP get away with abusing the "freedom" word while blocking people from exercising one of their most basic Constitutional rights.

starting over again. Hopefully the Clinton's are resetting, back to the Left, after making several right turns. So many right turns by too many Americans, has led to a drop in democracy for the People.
