aren't we ready "for revolution yet?"
President Obama, you have been my worst political mistake (by working and voting for your B.S.) that I have ever made.
Obviously, you do not care, I am not wealthy.
The wealthy are the only citizens who matter in todays Amerika.

(5,069 posts)between the Justice Department and Wall Street is certainly consistent between Holder's own career within government and his work for the corporate international law firm Covington and Burling. Having said that - it is hard to find out the details of his actual work from online sources...only that he has had a distinguished career of public service.
The overall argument presented here is that despite the window dressing disagreements between the two parties, the country is embedded in what Lofgren describes as the Deep State - a situation in which - despite the superficial bickering between both parties - ultimately, their raison d'etre is to serve Wall Street and the Military Industrial Complex (both tied at the hip)...despite the bickering and changes in administrations, perpetual wars continue and the income gap separating the fraction of the 1% and the rest of us continues to widen. In general, government serves the elites.

(17,083 posts)He'll accomplish two things: No significant prosecutions will take place, and he'll be set for life with his grateful Wall Street co-conspirators.
Maybe soon we'll read another statement that he's really going to do something this time. Then it's back to sleep.

If the Republicans do well in the next couple of elections, I do hope they send a note of thanks to this guy and his supporters. They will deserve the praise.

(45,984 posts)Move over John Mitchell, Ed Meese and Harry Daugherty. Here's the man who said he couldn't prosecute banksters for fraud because they were just too big to fit inside a prison. Well, at least he didn't stretch his credibility by saying no one could find any evidence.
Still have that job lined up on Wall Street, Mr. Holder? Please say hello to Mr. Breuer when you get there.
