better than Mitt Rmoney. Having said that, this story, and the hundreds of other financial stories such as Libor rigging, clearly demonstrate that Representative Democracy is dead. The corporations and the 1% play by different rules because they run the government (all 3 branches) plus the media! They only get fined, time after time after time, but no prosecutions. We get 17 days of rank speculation over a missing plane and none on these stories.
I cannot say it enough, but we have to get the money out of our politics! I expected when I first started posting about Complete Campaign Finance Reform (CCFR) and Publicly Funded Elections that DU members would be all over it. This is the root problem from which almost all of our other problems flow, our politicians are not responsive to the people. They are paid to be responsive to Wall Street, MIC, NRA... We cannot compete and we cannot go on like this!

WE NEED TO DEMAND CCFR and publicly funded elections! We need to be marching in the streets!
How many here at DU agree and will spread the word?
