Springless Arabs
Almost four years on, it would appear the peoples' revolutions in the Middle East have actually only empowered the forces of reaction, and resulted in extreme repression and violence. What is the West's reaction to the new regimes? And is the Middle East doomed to be ruled by western backed dictators? CrossTalking with Toby Cadman, Joshua Landis and Nabila Ramdani.

of topics unheard of in US sponsored networks.
For me, most interesting is the notion that the Middle East is going through a process of defining what it means to be a nation and the process is analogous to the 'nation building' that went on in Central Europe after the fall of the empires in the aftermath of WWI. In both case there is outside powers that are influencing the process but it is up to the states themselves to determine how they will define community membership....great fodder for political science discussions.
