Sixty Quid A Week-Leon Rosselson

A new song from the greatest British songwriter(maybe just the greatest songwriter)you've probably never heard of. Leon posted this on You Tube in February, and what makes it more poignant is that he will be eighty in June, about the age of the man he's writing about here.

(the politicians named here are British...but you can put in names like Boehner and Ryan in their places in your mind).

(I just checked...sixty quid comes to $100.37...about $450 a month...or $5400 a year. And the Tory/"Liberal Democrat" coalition that runs the UK probably thinks THAT is "lavish". Bastards.)

I wasn't poor enough to beg, but I could see that day coming.

This song is full of truth. Conservatives taught me to hate them. I won't forgive them for that.
