(16,286 posts)Teaparty and the right dont care one bit about the lives lost in Benghazi, in fact they hated the Ambassador as he worked for Obama
so the truth about this means nothing, teaparty hates Obama because he is Black, period
NOTHING will change that
A Simple Game
(9,214 posts)because he is black, I think they hate him because he isn't white.
I think the Tea party is non-discriminatory in their discrimination, they dislike all non-whites.
I am not picking on you, I agree completely. But I do think the way I word it is true.

(14,165 posts)And I guess it goes without saying he'd have to still be straight, with a family, and talk about his Christian God blessing him and his country a lot.
Its simply because he is an "other".
And its not getting any better for them. Hillary meets the white quota but darn it, not the correct sex.

(16,286 posts)this rancher and the teaparty in general hates women, Asians, Blacks, Iranians, Canadians, Gays, Brazilians and all foreigners and all Brown people and all non christians, so yes, you are right...
and I am not exaggerating, that is why we have such a serious problem

How on earth you got a "groveling apology for white racism" out of a perfectly reasonable - and accurate - post is certainly beyond me!
Racists and bigots hate anyone who isn't perceived to be like them and that includes differences of mentality, culture, ethnicity, national origin, religion and politics - among others - as well as skin color. Skin color - of whatever non-white shade - is just the most immediately obvious reason for haters to hate and black skin is perhaps most obvious of all. In the US, being black is the one with the most painfully consistent historical associations, however, even today.
I, for one, happen to love our increasingly many hued-world - which is reflected in my own immediate - and more extensive family.
Yes, racists are furious that Prez O has black skin and hate him for that. But what they hate even more is that his white mother actually chose to be with his black father (especially at a time when that was comparatively rare - even illegal in some parts of the US) but, most of all, that he is an admirable, intelligent, compassionate and attractive role model of a human being who trumps their inadequacy and shows up their hypocrisy in countless ways just by existing in a position of power, if not THE position of power. The fact that he was so overwhelmingly elected and re-elected in spite of everything that they could throw at him galls them to the point of literal insanity. His global popularity drives some over the edge.
Remember that there are some with black skins that racists "tolerate" - Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, Allen West, Mia Love, etc., largely because they are no more than brainless tools - and would be, no matter what their skin color.
No, the hatred of Prez O goes beyond skin color alone. They hate his very essence.

(9,214 posts)In your reply please show me where I said they don't hate black people.

(13,485 posts)Hating him because he's black is only partly true. Hating him because he's not white completes the argument and covers the racist reality. There is no apology in your statement.
A Simple Game
(9,214 posts)They would hate President Obama if he were Hispanic, Asian, Indian, Aborigine, Purple People Eater, or anything else but white.

It's like that.

(4,407 posts)Republicans will go after anything, and it should be pretty obvious that this is purely political. On the other hand, Democrats won't go after Republicans for ANYTHING, even when we really need to address some serious issues. Jesus, Rick Perry is just the latest. Blackwell, whoever-he-fuck it was in Florida in 2000, bankers, Iraq, the list just goes on and on.

(135,425 posts)Their suits look like the same pattern/different color; the Congressional pin is placed "just so," the ties look like they were side by side at the tie store; they both have man tan, expensive haircuts (McKeon got the blue rinse to bring out the white at the side of his head; and the million dollar crybaby got the shoe-polish black treatment)...and on their faces, the exact same moronic expression, to polish off the look!!!

(30,058 posts)Hearings and it is wasteful spending by Republicans. In the first month it was already said response to protecting our Ambassador would not have saved his life. If there was going to be to prevent further loss of life on our facilities then the hearings may have been productive. Issa should feel like the A Number One A$$hole the way he treated Cummings.

(2,016 posts)One - Buck is retiring. He's a scumbag (and my local rep). Rotten to the core.
Two - He's like a dying person, who suddenly goes to church for redemption. Nobody is buying his shit. He'll have to walk my streets, knowing he's not loved nor liked.
See ya at the grocery store, you asshat. I have much to say...

(9,090 posts)what a huge waste, and in the sense that it has helped slow action on global warming, giving rw radio a free speech free ride has been the biggest political mistake in history.
