I bet dollars the KGB got him released. "Roman" sounds like someone who is a KGB guy who didn't want to see anything bad happen to him (as it would no doubt "sully" the pro-Russia paramilitary revolutionaries).
Likewise, the techniques used to torture him sound like something right out of KGB tactics, the entire time he spent there was a PSYOPS.
Great video, worth the 20 minutes if you want to see what the pro-Russian fascists are really like.

I guess people are naive enough to continue believing that a) there aren't Russian soldiers in Ukraine b) they are peaceful and c) that they aren't kidnapping people.
