Kids? Not so much. We need Corporate money out of elections, but how that's going to happen, I have no idea. Not when the people who are supposed to represent us are beholden to the corporations for their jobs.

You have a Congress control by Rethugs,it's called pay back for monetary consideration. You could use the word BRIBE,but,I digress. Krotch Brothers and the Waltons need their tax breaks in exchange for the Roberts Court Opinion. Money is speech, sick.

Many Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee backed the foster kids measure, but they removed a key provision that would have added $12 million to its 10-year cost and that was not paid for with budget cuts elsewhere.

That's a good question that doesn't seem to be answered in the article.

My guess is that the numbers are being rounded to the closest million and the actual annual cost is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.2 million.

do something to prevent the prostitution of children tells me they or their cronies have a cut of the profits from the sex trade.

prostitution, they are getting huge kick backs, campaign donations and lobbyist payoffs from corporate cronies. And this is the crux of the matter - if you can't pay for their re-election campaigns you get zero support from them on the house floor.

I mean Republicans need to keep up a steady supply of prostitutes for themselves and their lobbyists.
