Ukraine - Videos show the truth. Army harrassing and shooting at unarmed civilians - Disturbing

Last edited Wed May 7, 2014, 09:57 PM - Edit history (1)

Average Ukrainians in the army and police refused to fight those who they still mostly percieve as their brothers and sisters. So Kiev has had to rely more and more on psychopaths (Right Sector, Svoboda). Of course these neo-nazi's are not kind people and they hate anyone who is different from them.

But really, how can you justify them having Neo-Nazi's in power in the executive there? How do you justify them relying on Right Sector when the population of police and army from both sides of the country refuse to serve them? THINK

How can people be so caught up that they ignore things like this video?

He and the "International Republican Institute" (yes there really is such a thing, you think Republicans are only after this country? They want to rule the world as a worldwide party), has been right in the thick of this as has the wife of the author of the IRAQ war.

Here is an Aljazeera article. This has been all over liberal blogs as well.

Reckless in Kiev: Neocons, Putin and Ukraine
Why Obama and Putin must desist from reckless military interventions in other countries' affairs.

So how do you know they shot unarmed civilians as you posted? There are many things that are happening out of view of the 1 minute video. Is it longer and edited down? Are there other views?

At the least terrorizing, that woman's screams indicate something very unpleasant.

I change the title to add the "at".

Amazing how pro-war some at DU have become. Can't you just empathize?

These people lives have been turned upside down. They have been blasted with ant-government propaganda that says fascists will come and murder them all. If they were actually "shooting at" unarmed civilians, they must be very bad shots. Nice to try and change it but still not what the video shows. You hear screams like that in many tense situations.

"shooting civilians" with no evidence to back it up. When questioned, you threw an ad hominem attack instead of owning up to bad reporting, and follow that with a plaintive "Can't you just empathize? " as if trying to hide the mistake behind the women in the video. Like something Clown Bundy in Nevada would do.

Which makes them used twice, once by the terrorists, and now in this post. Which makes any suggestions that this is really about them suspect as well.

Problem is that isn't a hell of a lot different than some American streets tonight, on which people really WILL get shot, and perhaps those are streets where DUers live. So that video alone is unlikely to get the kind of attention it deserves.

Just sayin...

Because I know what I do about those in power, and you can hear that woman scream I am convinced that someone was shot. But I agree there are much more convincing videos out there of what is going on.

I think we are too used to seeing the military in action that we are somewhat desensitized as well.

The government has not been able to control their normal military and police because they don't want to go to war with each other. It is only the extreme right that is willing to use that kind of force.

Do you really think that if we had bands of KKK roving and "creating order" and and active leaders of that organization were given executive level positions over the military and national security, that our people would not be panicking and afraid? I am just trying to get people to understand because I know the country, and I know what is really going on that we don't see in our media, and the story of half the country is being overshadowed by the narrative. They are being dehuminized and that is indeed making the situation much more dangerous.

Here is a better video that shows what Right Sector has been doing. The group was formed AT Maidan, where they all came together and organized. There was no Right Sector before Maidan! And they have thrived in numbers due to the situation and people's sense of insecurity and need to blame things on others.

This is Real - BBC video. They have been more careful with what they wear and what they say, and have been integrated in many cases into the military and police for the new administration now, but there are still paid bands that operate moving throughout the country creating their band of order.

These are very bad guys yet they are in the administration and will now be depended on in the military!

Here is one of their PR videos

Here is their recruitment video

I just don't see this as making political points in an argument. I would not like to see the same in West Ukraine.

You can find plenty of street scenes from places where nothing much by way of armed conflict is going on, that will not upset you much, though if your sensibilities are pitched so highly as your reaction here suggests....

"Poor soul. His nerves proved unequal to the strain."

These murderous goons have new Nazi-style, black uniforms, bulletproof body armor and (after a hard day of brutalizing unarmed civilians) lots of U.S. MRE's to eat for dinner, all thanks to the American taxpayer.

That is right, friends, we paid for that.
