... we have started a project to use a drone (similar, but not the one used for the video) to test attitude control flight software for spacecraft. The pointing that was done for the movie is similar to the pointing that some spacecraft use to point instruments. The instruments are rigidly mounted (not gimbaled) to the spacecraft structure and the whole spacecraft turns to point the instrument.

That is how the New Horizons spacecraft works.

INHO, Drones are not scary ---- they are WAY COOL!

YES, I agree..."drones" or what use to be called remote controlled aircraft are not scary at all to me they are the future in so many ways in the air & on the ground.

People get bent out of shape when they hear the word "drone".
