Documents reveal that Blackwater has been busy expanding its corporate reach by providing intelligence services for agencies such as the Canadian Military, Netherlands Police and corporations like Monsanto.

Blackwater is a private, mercenary army. They've been called the 'shadow army,' and most notoriously worked for the United States in Iraq, where the company courted controversy. Journalist Jeremy Scahill, who wrote a book about Blackwater, wrote an exclusive for The Nation, revealing general details of the extent of the Blackwater business operations. Scahill managed to obtain documents that, according to Scahill, show
"... entities closely linked to the private security firm Blackwater have provided intelligence, training and security services to US and foreign governments as well as several multinational corporations, including Monsanto, Chevron, the Walt Disney Company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and banking giants Deutsche Bank and Barclays, according to documents obtained by The Nation. Blackwater's work for corporations and government agencies was contracted using two companies owned by Blackwater's owner and founder, Erik Prince: Total Intelligence Solutions and the Terrorism Research Center (TRC). Prince is listed as the chairman of both companies in internal company documents, which show how the web of companies functions as a highly coordinated operation."

Private armies - or "protectors" is never of the good - every country who have accepted mercenaries to build itself up as Black water - or whatever they call them self now have doing - will se that one day they will turn against the country who accepted it - and they would be a danger to everyone they encounter...

This was sure when Rome was an empire in decline - and had more or less mercenaries to fill up her ranks of soldiers - after a while they was indispensable and impossible to get rid of - and in the end, they ruled and killed emperors who they was thinking about as to powerfully, or not thankfully enough for their services...

And even after - in the middle ages and up to our own time - mercenaries have always been a danger to the ones they should protect - rather for the ones they was suppose to defend against - and as fast as any country was stable to control its own army - mercenaries was forcefully cut of, killed or retired in peace with the money they had earned... And the ones who did not understood the new terms - killed off...

Today US are on a crossroad - or they might even have crossed that crossroad -when it come to use mercenaries who do not answer to any legal authority other than the owners - you can force them to stand down and give up their weapons - or if needed - force the issue.... But as long as the republicans is in control of the House I doubt it would be possible to de-arm this groups - or to disband its forces - and again have just one authority - the military who is under control of the rightfully government and is answering to them in all matters

And as Rome went so will we if it can't be stooped.
But we are more sophisticated now...perhaps they will continue the illusion of democracy but it will be just an illusion...like bread and circus was for Rome.

The Republic - who was a form of Democracy in ancient time - was seen as surviving it all - but ended in less than 100 year when the Optimates deiced they wanted to rule for them self - it ended in a long civil war where many of the finest families died out - or was re pleased by "lesser" families whose contact with military leaders was the main reason for their ability to get up to the highest powers - it ended in a way when Casesar was elected Dictator for life when he outrun his opponents and for a few years was able to rule Rome without any opponents - but even he was not secure and in the end he was killed by some of his closest friends who believed him to want to be a king who was crowned - and who also was devastating the Republic... After Caesars death - a violent civil war ensured - and in the end the Republic who had existed for 500 years - and survived all sorts of violence - ended it civil war when a family member of Caesar Octavian var the vining leader after Actinium - and then ruled the Roman Empire until AD 14, as an emperor - even though he was smart enough to cloth the new monarchy in republican garments

It can end the same way in the US - if you do not care for your republic - but in the case of US, I somehow doubt it will end up in a leader that is vice enough to do the right things - even if he is an all powerfully leader - It will end up in corporations taking over the power - and who in reality deiced the fate of the US in the back room - not in the Congress or Senate...

But I Guess they will be able to give you the illusion of democracy still for a while - like in ancient rome - election was held - leaders chosen long the consuls elected every year and so one - way ahead into the Empires age - even after the Senate lost most of its power - the illusion of an Republic existed as long as the Principiate existed..

It was not befor Domitian - the illusion on fthe Republic was replaced by a more direct control by the Empire - and the Emperor was given far more power than before - by then no one belived in the Republic anyway... And was content to give away its power to other who could do the job for them...

And really when you look at it, it makes look more like Rome in decline.

And the most striking thing to me is the privatization of the military...war for profit was also a Roman principle because their economy and wealth depended on conquest of new territory and resources...and that too is where we are although it is not as self evident..

The American people are just stupid and will believe anything I tell them. So fuck the towers and Sadam let's smake us some real money. COSTS:3 billion. Profit: 10 billion and a conflict that just keeps on giving.
Yet we are not allowed to prosecute these war profiteers. We've out sourced our military. Bring back the draft and stop paying millions for what our troops could be trained to do for thousands.

Once you reach that point, you see through all of it. There's no point in pretending any more, no point in cheerleading, it is time to wake up.
