he starts off by saying Occupy is a mainstream movement, that's good enough for me! Occupy!!!!!!!!!

5. Chris Hedges

He was a former writer for the New York Times who has been a Pulitzer Prize recipient. He has been all over the world, including being in eastern europe when this fell apart. He has been an active supporter of the occupy movement since the beginning, including getting arrested outside of one of the big banks.

7. For those here who are not familiar with Chris Hedges, I encourage you to go to Google videos,

type in his name and watch/listen to any of the talks he's given. Select one that's an hour long. Yes, I know....we're all busy, but you can put it in your task bar while you're doing something else on the computer.

Take note of our contemporary philosophers he refers to...Sheldon Wolin and Inverted Totalitarinism etc.

Read "The Death of the Liberal Class" and other books he's written.

I think Hedges is one of the more important voices of our time.

9. I agree the black-bloc tactic is counter productive for building the movement.

violence will not grow the occupy movement, quite the opposite. Look carefully at those pushing for this type of black-bloc action as provocateurs are one tool the 1% have always used to crush popular movements.
