SUBGATE: Romney & Ryan hand out ILLEGAL FREE Subs for Votes in Waukesha

Apr 3, 2012

It is ILLEGAL to give out stuff that is worth more than $1,
the subs are listed on the menu for $3.49

Mitt Romney has broken the law.

Edited to add, related article below..

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is alleging that Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan committed election bribery by offering "subs for votes" in Waukesha on Tuesday.

Party Chairman Mike Tate said at press conference that Democrats will file a complaint with the Government Accountability Board, the state agency that oversees elections in Wisconsin.

Video captured by Patch shows Romney and Ryan handing out the sub sandwiches. Additionally, a video edited by the state Democratic Party shows Romney leading a rally and telling supporters to go vote, and "If they want another sandwich, there are more back there."

It's a funny story, but this is kinda serious. Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the law. This is clear and blatant bribery.

clear and blatant ignorance, which in a presidential candidate is more troubling than the nutritional bribery.
