(9,214 posts)I can't imagine Republicans voting for Hillary.

(6,045 posts)Hillary is far more conservative than Elizabeth so Republicans will vote for her over Hillary???
I love Elizabeth Warren & I like Hillary but not sure what universe it is in which Republicans vote for Elizabeth Warren over Hillary...And using Eric Cantor as a example does not convince me at all.
This really has no point anyway because Republicans will not cross the aisle in numbers that matter for either woman.

(9,214 posts)for that matter. Republicans won't vote for Hillary just because she is Hillary and they have been programmed to hate her.
Warren has a good grassroots message and is very personable and likable.

(13,324 posts)ones, it might be a partial antidote to what ails this country. But such a balancing act would be difficult at best, near impossible at worst.

(9,214 posts)Republican women, but I don't know if she has enough charisma to get enough of a majority of the 99% that would be needed to scare the right wings of the Republicans and the Democrats into cooperating with her.
Too many people vote against themselves because of one issue or another. We all need to give a little to gain a lot.

(16,104 posts)It's the corporations, stupid!
This is old-school populism. This is Huey Long stuff!
Not a communist, not a socialist, not a liberal -- none of those labels (even though she does mention "the bosses" .
It's the corporations and the money, and the Party that serves them.
Disclaimer: of course, she is not running for president!

I hate to say this but compare that to Hillary that is constantly so scripted.
I really hope Elizabeth changes her mind about running. I'm older and just once in my lifetime I want to be able to vote for someone I really believe in - and not just vote for the better of the two.

(9,298 posts)Once again for electing this supremely qualified woman to the Senate. Those stats on SC judges are really horrifying, but we needed to hear them.

(429 posts)Elizabeth Warren speaks with passion about what concerns her, which is fairness and equality for all. Isn't that what America says they stand for??? She could erase party lines with talk like this. She needs to run for president because America badly needs her at this time.

(10,493 posts)Alito said the same I think. Funny, you don't hear Republicans mentioning Activist Judges any longer! This court votes for corporations something like 92% of the time, that was unheard of until now! That is the same as what the Texas Supreme Court does. If you are a Judge and you are equal to the crooked Texas Supremes in any category, you have done something BAD!!!
Way to go Warren! I cannot wait to hear what you have to say about another Justice Department settlement with another big crooked bank, Citi! If she doesn't run for POTUS, she should get the appointment as head of the Justice Department. It would be refreshing to witness Justice for a change! As an attorney, I can't help but feeling like Al Pacino in, "And Justice For All"! The lawyers and Judges are all either crazy, crooked, greedy, or sociopaths in the movie and in reality! Those of us who thought it was a noble profession where we could actually help people have watched it devolve into a cesspool of greed and corruption!

(19,537 posts)... and that the Senate justice committee, including those like Russ Feingold weren't asking Roberts enough questions on his positions on corporate personhood at the time! Damn I wish I wasn't such a prophet then of what has since happened to this corporate activist court since that time that Roberts got confirmed after no one really challenged him much on his confirmation.
