Video: Texas voters say they wouldn’t vote for ‘a known heterosexual’ for President

Last edited Sun Jul 20, 2014, 12:01 AM - Edit history (1)

These voters in the US state of Texas apparently got in a bit of a mix up when they were asked whether they would vote for a heterosexual candidate for US President.

So used to stating that they would not vote for a gay candidate, the respondents in this video state their opposition to “a known heterosexual.”

One man goes on to say some scary things about what he would do to gay people, given the chance.

The video was posted by YouTuber Joseph Costello, and was recorded in Austin, Texas.

"I ask you, my fellow Americans: is this the kind of person we want in public office to set an example for our youth ? Of course, it's not surprising that he should have such a typically pristine background -- no, not when you consider the other members of his family:

- His female relatives put on a constant pose of purity and innocence, and claim they are inscrutable, yet every one of them has taken part in hortatory activities
- The men in the family are likewise completely amenable to moral suasion
- My opponent's second cousin is a Mormon
- His uncle was a flagrant heterosexual
- His sister, who has always been obsessed by sects, once worked as a proselyte outside a church
- His father was secretly chagrined at least a dozen times by matters of a pecuniary nature
- His youngest brother wrote an essay extolling the virtues of being a homo sapien
- His great-aunt expired from a degenerative disease
- His nephew subscribes to a phonographic magazine
- His wife was a thespian before their marriage and even performed the act in front of paying customers
- And his own mother had to resign from a women's organization in her later years because she was an admitted sexagenarian"

Who used this tactic and won... I can't remember when, but he accused his opponent of being a homo sapien and said his sister was a well-know thespian.

But the two years that I was stationed in Austin, I considered it a living hell. I know that Austin is considered to be the "liberal" part of Texas, and yes, there's great food and music in that town, but those fucking Austinites were out of their fucking minds.

It was the worst experience ever for me, in ways too numerous to mention.

When I got orders to go to Korea, I left Austin and Texas and never looked back.

I haven't been back there since and I never will.

Compared to the rural areas and the other cities in Texas, Austin is a liberal enclave. However, it is still about a 50-50 mix between liberals and conservatives and there still are a decent percentage of idiots that reside there. I lived there for 13 years and I found a mix of intelligent liberals along with some people that should best be ignored. I'm grateful that nearly all of my friends that live there would not agree with the sentiments expressed in that video, whether they are straight or gay.
