(111,138 posts)The only thing that has changed between now and then is the militarization of the police so they don't have to look bad ordering soldiers to murder their own people.
"Solidarity Forever: an Oral History of the IWW" is one of my prized possessions and would make a great companion to this video. I think it might still be in print, Amazon has it.

It's got a nice, garish cover, suitable for pissing off all the right wingers at the family holidays coming up.
Well, we got the 8 hour day, then they cut those hours to cheat us our of benefits and made it so we'd have to work at least one other part time job with no benefits just to house and feed our kids. It looks like the overturn of all the gains the unions made is proceeding according to the plutocrat's happiest timetable. And we got the 14 hour workday back.
