A local TV station came by my house to produce a short film about my educational project. X-posted on Environment&Energy forum... thought I should post it here in Video too.

1. What an informative video.... Do you have any panels on your home?

If you do, can you tell me if you built them your self, or did you order them? I have a suggestion for a possible future project- converting riding lawn mowers to solar power. Thanks for sharing this....

5. I would not recommend to make your own panels unless

you're just doing it for fun

the 'make your own solar panel' websites sites are basically a fraud. if you want to put them on your roof and spin your meter backwards, you have to us UL listed equipment. there's no way you can do that with home made PV panels. you could make a panel and run a water pump or something like that with it, but not power your house.
