piece of shit. And, unfortunately, he's damn good at it. They hit the nail on the head about how he talks about doing the right thing and immediately starts undermining any serious attempts to do the right thing. But, if anything actually decent accidentally happens, he's right there up front taking credit.

I suspect he'd still be a piece of shit without the 90 million or so in his campaign bank account, but not be quite as one-sided about his refusals to do things he's promised. He is, unquestionably deep in those deep pockets who support him and the rest of us be damned. A prime example of how the Supreme Court fucked over democracy in this country.

Whatever, I'm embarrassed to be in the same party as this tool and for the first time I'm protest voting for this Zephyr person. I know I constantly preach against protest votes, but this is one of those rare (OK, maybe not so rare) occasions where I can't support the Republican but the Democrat is worse and beneath contempt.

.....New York (and New Jersey, for that matter) is like. If you do not live here, it is hard to understand the politics of the place. You can begin with the assumption that nearly every politician is corrupt. Growing up in NY City, I saw that all pols were dirty and only out for themselves, and the more high minded they spoke, the dirtier they were. So I moved to New Jersey, but I found that things were pretty much the same. In fact, I wound up incorporating my business in Delaware just to avoid the corruption of NY pols. Cuomo is no different from any of the NY/NJ governors we've had in the last 3 decades.
