I am a huge Elton John fan, but I don't think he would be where he is without Bernie.

If you get Sirus radio, Bernie Taupin does a weekly show on The Loft which is great. He is a true aficionado of american roots music.

They share a deep love of the US and, in particular, the wild west.

Bernie, especially, has a fascination with the West. Many Europeans do, but Bernie can put it into words.

For some reason he and EJ connected and the words inspired the music.
And Tumbleweed Connection was the first album by him for me...had an 8 track tape that I wore out...

They have recently collaborated again, though I haven't heard any of the results yet.

Yep, Tumbleweed Connection on the 8 track. What a fond memory that is.

I mentioned above about Bernie Taupins' weekly show on Sirius. If you have access, check it out.
