Israeli Airstrike Collapses 12-Story Gaza Apartment Tower

Israeli aircraft fired two missiles at a 12-story apartment tower in downtown Gaza City on Saturday, collapsing the building, sending a huge fireball into the sky and wounding at least 22 people, including 11 children, witnesses and Palestinian officials said.

The BBC, for example, describe it this way:

"A 12-storey apartment block in Gaza City has collapsed, following renewed airstrikes by Israel.

Palestinian health officials say at least 22 people were injured in the attack. Israel said Hamas militants were using the building as a command centre.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to step up attacks following the killing of a four-year-old Israeli boy on Friday, in a village near the Gaza border"

Notice that it sounds as though the apartment block collapsed by itself, somehow, "following renewed airstrikes by Israel".

They also mention that "22 people were injured in the attack". Just a few injuries ... that's all!

Then the "justification": "Israel said that Hamas militants were using the building as a command centre". Oh, okay, it must be alright, then -- as long as "militants" were there.

A clear war crime, airbrushed through the corporate media lens ...
