Obama look bad. The blame for the "do nothing Congress" that makes other do nothing Congresses look active should fall squarely on Republicans. It was their game; make sure they get the blame.

11. "Don't pass anything!" --- Mitch McConnell, 1/5/2013

That's what the Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, told the Republicans in the Senate when Congress reconvened after President Obama whipped Mitt Romney's ass in November of 2012.

The Republicans knew they were going to lose to Obama again in 2012, so Mitch spent much of his time after that election getting his fellow Senate Republicans to line up behind him, in order for them to act with one mind.
So, the Republicans in the Senate did act with one mind.

This has been going on since 2009, ever since President Obama has been the President.

Here's a link to prove it ---
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/10/1118614/-Biden-Mitch-McConnell-vowed-no-cooperation-with-the-Obama-administration-from-the-get-go

The fact that the Republican party became the Roadblock Party in 2009 meant that very little would actually be done to solve any of the massive problems this country faced after President Bush spent 8 years dragging our country down in to the worst economic position it had been in since 1929!!

The people who are Facebook members need to wake up and spread the word -- Republican obstructionists in Congress must go!!

It's hard to believe, but it is ALL true --

WASHINGTON — Before the health care fight, before the economic stimulus package, before President Obama even took office, Senator Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader, had a strategy for his party: use his extensive knowledge of Senate procedure to slow things down, take advantage of the difficulties Democrats would have in governing and deny Democrats any Republican support on big legislation.

On the major issues — not just health care, but financial regulation and the economic stimulus package, among others — Mr. McConnell has held Republican defections to somewhere between minimal and nonexistent, allowing him to slow the Democratic agenda if not defeat aspects of it. He has helped energize the Republican base, expose divisions among Democrats and turn the health care fight into a test of the Democrats’ ability to govern.

“It was absolutely critical that everybody be together because if the proponents of the bill were able to say it was bipartisan, it tended to convey to the public that this is O.K., they must have figured it out,” Mr. McConnell said about the health legislation in an interview, suggesting that even minimal Republican support could sway the public. “It’s either bipartisan or it isn’t.”

There it is, in his own words!!

I hope those people who say they are going to vote this time around really do. If just a few more from the Dems column make an appearance, a lot of states could turn from red to purple.

The GOP Absolutely Cut CDC Funding (600,000,000.00) and so far-Will Not Apologize nor move to Restore said funding. .
Sequester and Austerity for the Kochs et al, imo. That sums up the GOP. And yes, in spite of Dems voting along (for comity and compromise, of course) the GOP by Majority OWNS total responsibility because they Have The Majority and the Majority voted "YEA"!

Someone pointed out to Boehner a couple years ago the last Congress wasn't passing any laws. Johnny said we shouldn't judge them on the laws they pass but on the ones they repeal.

Problem was, the only law they were trying to repeal was the Affordable Care Act, and they weren't able to repeal it either.

And the last Congress was more active than this one.

You know all the shit the GOP talks about Obamacare's time in Congress? That was the Patriot Act. The only way the GOP didn't read it is if they didn't want to, because I read it - you could download it from Thomas. It was a big bill, but reading big bills is one of the reasons congresscritters have staffs.

Reading big bills is also part of the job they ran for a chance to do, the reason they get paid, get an office, get a staff, get a driver, etc.

Why Democrats don't throw that crap back in their faces is beyond me.

I'm fine with Congress not passing any laws. They usually do much more damage with the laws they pass than when they do nothing at all. The only problem is, we are then paying them way too much to do absolutely nothing.

Everyday America is bombarded with a media campaign of breaking domestic news that is symmetric with Middle East war-types head covered men with ski masks declaring war in the name of God while making ready to cut some ones throat, or now making hostages dig their own grave.

What is curious lately this Middle East crisis has a new term that identifies these characters in war as “ISIS”. Do you notice this new acronym is so similar to the word crisis. That is usually how tyrants thrive to gain power in the time of turmoil. Presenting to the public an emergency that helps appeal to the public to generate promise to solutions.

Ever since George Bush took office as president in 2000, and after 911 it seems America is always in a more spirited crisis. That news covers up something that really is happening. America is in a post-depression period yet is not willing to admit it. Small and large communities throughout the nation are masked by in your face corporate giants with threats to move out of that community or headquarters out of the country if they have to pay taxes.

Of course the citizen is responsible to pay taxes to create a civil society. To have law and order with fire and emergency protection, to have a healthy environment with fresh water supplied along with a clean sewer system to have cheap easy transportation, good electric and gas utilities and to educate a society to have intelligent consumers.

However for decades corporations that are people too do not think they are within that responsibility to pay taxes that use those services and infrastructure and gain success in profits to hire those educated citizens that pay their way.

It’s not just government people don’t trust anymore. It is government, business banking and the educational system and the media that supports a very cruel capital system while todays modern Conservative/ Democratic parties lead the way. It seem no matter who we elect that individual get sucked into corruption.

You don’t need a pole to clarify this culture, cynicism and name-calling won't do anymore because we the people hold that truth to be self-evident the system is broken.

These 245 bimbo's in the House and the 47 bimbo's in the Senate make up a grand total out of the 292 hypocrites doing absolutely nothing but I digress here is the pay for what these jerks get from us the taxpayers

Senate Leadership
Majority Party Leader - $193,400
Minority Party Leader - $193,400

House Leadership
Speaker of the House - $223,500
Majority Leader - $193,400
Minority Leader - $193,400

House and Senate is $174,000 per year

Congress working 113 days this year which in turn means the republican cabal took FROM you and me $42,978,000.00 Million plus $223,500.00 dollars for the orange can with a suit for a grand total of $43,201,500.00.00 Million dollars
While on the Senate side and because we have a Democratic Majority being stalled by the republican Mitch (turtle lips ) McConnell and his right wing playmates of boys and girls have taken $8,178.000.00 Million plus the $193,400.00 for Turtle Lips Filibuster for a grand total of $8,371,400.00 Million dollars .

Republican control Congress: 43,201,500.00 divided by 113 days = $382,314.15 tax dollars in actual pay for working and doing nothing in a DO NOTHING CONGRESS, great value for the good old buck

And lets not forget that wonderful day when the tea bagger Ted Cruz wanna be's in the House shut the government down to the cost of over $25 billion yes dear friends you saw it right $25 Billion for green eggs and ham.

With these two figures it has cost you and me over $25 Billion and $43,201,500.00 million tax dollars
And the media pundits say the government is going republican----do not think so

Republican Filibuster Senate : $8,371,400.00 Million divided by 113 days = $74,083.18 Thousand tax dollars with the continued plan of filibustering every piece of legislation totaling over 780 bills from a DO NOTHING MINORITY PARTY called the right wing who also sleep with ALEC, U.S. Supreme Court Roberts Court, Koch Brothers, Sheldon Alderson(sp), republicans.

And you wonder why we are turning into a banana third world country and falling past that dubious mark
