Kangaroos filmed fighting in suburbia

Two kangaroos have been filmed fighting for five minutes on a suburban street on the New South Wales central coast.

Didn't look as though we're going for a kill, so it's very funny. And love the music track!

1. I'm no kangaroo behaviorist, but some of those kicks look pretty vicious

I agree that neither one could box his way out of a wet paper bag with those upper limbs.

but I know the claws on their back feet can rip another roo open.

Looks like two youngsters having a practice round.

3. Now if these mates had taken Judo

A sweeping leg kick would have ended this epic battle. Amazing how their tails
support their bodes in a double leg kick. Should have used that tail to smack the other in the head...but then..that would not be Judo, but Kangaroo KARATE!

how they kept it up for so long - they both fight dirty.

5. At least they don't send their kids to war over oil, etc.

This is how disagreements sometimes need to be settled. We should let lindshe graham and grumpy mcAncient settle their differences this way. It would shut OLD MEN up once and for all if THEY did the fighting, eh?

I remember third grade, me and a school mate went behind the retreat yard bushes and fought it out over a cute girl in our class that probably didn't give a rat's behind for either one of us. I think our fight lasted about 3 minutes. We rolled around on the ground and got each other in head locks; and when it was over, it was over. We were still good friends the next day. Wish all differences could be handled so easily. I expect these two kangaroos are about the same hormonal level we were back then.

Just more evidence of the relentless encroachment into animal habitats by humans. Sooner or later. homo sapiens will pay for this!
