(28,702 posts)there is something so rotten there with the police and the racism. i just can never stop thinking about birmingham. that mindset - they have not figured out that their way of life is done. is there an organization, that can be supported, to continue these protests and to continue putting this news in front of the people?
sharing to fb. corporate media is so weak, so pathetic, so OWNED. frustration.

(9,895 posts)St. Louis is the moist segregated area I have ever lived in.
If you live here and someone asks you "where did you go to High School?", its a question loaded with subtle racial cues...location, status, wealth (or lack thereof)...it's also a massively parochial region chock full of followers.
The behavior of the police in each of the townships that make up the greater St. Louis area is repulsive and needs to exposed as often as possible.

(17,997 posts)we may look integrated by the numbers, but in reality, the areas for this color or that color, or this religion or that religion, or this nationality or that nationality.
People on the southside, in the white areas, still often answer, "where do you live?" with the Catholic parish they belong too. Or if not Catholic, the parish that their home is in.
