I see a lot of questions for Abbott to answer. His campaign should be flooded with inquiries regarding his actions as spelled out in the ad.

Yet another example of a "fuck you, I got mine" Republican.

The filibuster last summer. That's a phrase unlikely to be dropped from the agenda.

The ten gallons have met their match, I feel sure. This lady champion has the true grit and tenacity to walk her self right into the White House.

I LOVE IT !! The GOP attacked Max Cleland, a triple amputee and war hero. They swiftboated John Kerry. They attacked Mike Dukakis's patriotism. Oh, but all that is just wonderful, right?

Forget this "high road" jelly spined BULLSHIT. It is about time we some Democrats again with GUTS, GRIT, and BACKBONE.

There is NOTHING wrong with that ad. It DOES NOT disrespect his disability. It exposes his ROTTEN STINKING HYPOCRISY.

for two decades, I can say, it's a fabulous ad! It states perfectly how I feel about him.

Instead of concern for other disabled people, Abbott has said F' them.

This not about a poor pitiful man in a chair. It's about a jerk that only cares about himself.

without the chair, disability is not something to highlight in an ad when your rival is disabled. We are not bully's and the add is beneath the Democratic party and should not be endorsed.

as a long time wheelchair user and to others that know someone that is.

Whether he was able-bodied or disabled, he is still an asshole for what he has done. And it makes me seethe. I loathe him even more.

Your post gives him a pass for his evil deed. Does that mean you would give me a pass if I did something as assholery? Because I am in a wheelchair, it means I can get by w/something able-bodied people can not?

Are you disabled?

Btw, it is AD not ADD.

I say, read your history books folks. This is nothing more than the time-honored American tradition of mudslinging, which increases exponentially the closer we get to an election. Wendy is just playing the game. Go Wendy! I live in Arlington TX. Wendy is being slammed by the douche-bag on wheels Abbot for abortion and outright lies about her "ethics", which is rich coming from such a POS as Abbot. She's closing the gap.

The ad does not question Greg Abbott's fitness to be governor based on his being in a wheelchair. It points out that, while Abbott opposes people being able to get unlimited amounts of money from lawsuits, when he was injured he sued and received millions. As others have said it shows Abbott's extreme hypocrisy.

and wants to limit others abilites but take the chair out of the ad... I didn't even know the man was disabled until I saw this ad. Disability should be off limits in politics it makes the slinger look like a bully..... That is how I feel and never thought the Democratic party supported bullying.

Or to imply that he is less than a whole person who would not
be up to the job.

It is being used strictly for illuminating the hypocrisy of this man.
In my opinion, that is fair, and not even bad taste.

30. At Least Two Ads
Tue Oct 14, 2014, 06:51 PM
Oct 2014

Greg Abbott spoke of his being in a wheelchair in at least two ads. In the first ad he talked about how he used to roll himself up a parking garage in order to build his arm strength. In the second ad he said a man in a wheelchair can move faster than traffic in some places in Texas. Abbott was, fully visible in his wheelchair, in both ads.

I do not think it is bullying to point out that a guy was injured in an accident, sued, and received millions of dollars in a settlement, but after he received that settlement he starting opposing the idea of others getting large settlements. The ad does not make fun of Abbott's injury. It does not say Abbott is less of a man, or less qualified to be governor due to his injury. It just points out that Abbott is a hypocrite.

He uses it in his commercials, he talks about it in debates, and he even JOKES about it in campaign speeches.

And then he starts whining when his opponent mentions it????? What a hypocritical wuss!

I truly believe that his campaign has just been WAITING for Davis to even come CLOSE to referencing his disability, just so they can cry foul play.
