Romney: Parents of 2 year olds should go back to work, should have the "dignity of work"

Last edited Sun Apr 15, 2012, 06:50 PM - Edit history (1)

YouTube video description:
January 4, 2012 - Mitt Romney says that welfare recipients should leave their 2 year olds in daycare and go back to work. These would be stay-at-home parents should have the "dignity of work." That's apparently a dignity that Ann Romney doesn't need to have.

I hope someone in the audience asks him that one, then follows it up with a question about why his own offspring were worthy of a (theoretical) stay at home parent but ours are not.

I'd love to see his face turn purple and steam pour out of his ears.

parents of two-year olds would be happy to go to work to earn the hard needed cash.

He comes from generational wealth and privilege. He has no notion of how lesser mortals live their lives. How could he? He just mangles what his handlers try and explain to him about pandering to plebes, but he lacks the necessary experience to pull it off. Don't bother blaming him. Just don't vote for him. That would as incongruous as serfs voting for a new king.
