1. My father, a WWII veteran, besides combat, helped liberate a concentration camp (Nordhausen).n

He had an album of horrific pictures, that I later learned a superior officer had taken and copied for all of his men, so that they would "never forget." (Because he also carried a camera through much of the war, I'd assumed he took them until I met a fellow teacher who had the same pictures from her dad and told me the background. My own dad never talked about it). Dad, a bright, humorous man began suffering from alcohol addiction and what my brother (a Viet Nam vet) and I later realized, depression, probably brought on from PTSD. He was a hard worker and luckily was able to retire early, but died from a misdiagnosed bleeding ulcer at only sixty. I regret that PTSD was never considered a factor when my mom and our family was affected, in later years. I haven't looked up background on Michael "Savage." Obviously he was never in combat, or close to anyone who was.

Savage is in the running. A few days after Benghazi, he stated that Chris Stevens had been sodomized by his killers. WTF? He said it was unconfirmed so why mention it?
