Paul Krugman: How About A Clinton-Warren Ticket Instead Of A Matchup?

Paul Krugman: How About A Clinton-Warren Ticket Instead Of A Matchup?

"SNIP.......................

Nobel Prize-winning New York Times columnist Paul Krugman has an interesting vision of the 2016 Democratic presidential ticket: Hillary Clinton for president and Sen. Elizabeth Warren “looking over her shoulder so she doesn't stray too far."

Speaking on HuffPost Live Wednesday about Clinton’s domestic policy, Krugman said, “When she talks now, she sounds substantially to the left of the old Hillary Clinton.”

“If she becomes president and then turns ... [and] runs back to the right, that’s going to be a problem. ... I guess part of one's hope, if she becomes president, [is that] she will in fact feel some need to avoid alienating the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party, which is for all practical purposes led by Elizabeth Warren right now,” Krugman said.

As for a presidential bid from the Democratic senator from Massachusetts, he said it “would be an interesting thing” but predicted it would be unsuccessful.

A totally expected problem - and then progressives will be told to STFU because we voted for her.
Been there, done that.

Some DU'ers got the "brilliant idea" that maybe Hillary would be the one to run as VP....I am still laughing about that...

I have even shown that they are really not that far apart on ideology.....Elizabeth Warren is no Bernie Sanders.

Numbers?

Do you believe she is making those poll numbers up because of her ego?

10/26/14: Hillary Clinton's Favorability Drops In New Poll
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/hillary-clinton-s-ratings-drop-in-new-poll

Forty-six percent of those surveyed said they viewed the former secretary of state positively, down from 56 percent who said the same in April, a ten point drop in just a few months.

Clinton's standing fell even more among Independents, Democrats and young adults since April. Her favorability fell 11 points among independents, from 46 percent to 35 percent, and 12 points among Democrats, 88 percent to 76 percent. Her standing among young adults age 18 to 34 saw the biggest drop. Just 38 percent of young adults surveyed view her favorably, while 53 percent view her unfavorably.

The more she looks like a candidate, the more her favoribility drops. She was at the helm of the biggest fuckup during the Obama administration
(Benghazi). She's already spewing horseshit of the Tuzla variety (dead broke, etc.). She makes speeches to Wall Street commiserating with them over their well-earned shitty public image. She's on the record supporting everything Democrats oppose (the TPP, the Keystone pipeline, etc.). And no amount of cheerleading from people like you changes that. We heard the same hubris in 2008. She will never be president.

If Elizabeth Warren is going to be relegated to the Vice Presidency, I would prefer she simply remain in the Senate..
