Both Judaism and Islam allow abortion in certain circumstances and both put the health of the mother first.

I pointed this out here on DU during the 2012 election and on the very same day (IIRC), probably by coincidence, Mitt Romney popped up to clarify his position on the topic.

Look at many countries in Europe and how many major political parties they have, forcing multiple factions to compromise. What we have here is choosing the lesser evil, and yes, sometimes the parties are very similar. The two major political parties we have freeze out any attempts by other parties to break into the system because they want to cram so many issues into two camps and force largely uninformed Americans to choose what tent they think has the most things they think they want.

do not solve all problems, but you are correct that Canadians, for example, have more options and more debates. The limit of two parties makes it much easier for corruption corporations to buy both sides in a contested race. Having four parties gives citizens a much better choice of finding a reasonable MP who will represent the people in their riding. A huge difference is that our election periods are a matter of months, not years. Not many people here are focused on the elections in 2015. American pols have been focusing on 2016 since 2012. Money in America is the political god. Not so much here, even though Harper and the conservatives are working to push Canadian policies more toward the failed policies of America.

Can't the Democrats come up with someone more passionate and articulate than this woman? She sounds like a telemarketer.

Point(not related), ignore, Counterpoint(not related), ignore. Rinse and repeat.

Absolutely nothing was accomplished. And this is what we have as chairmen of both parties?

This is the best we have? WOW, we're in sad shape.

There is nothing more that I want than to see Democratic candidates do well in the upcoming election. But who in the hell decided to make Debby a spokesperson for ANYTHING?!! I mean, "I agree with Daryl Issa"...are you kidding me? She leads with that? I'm sorry, this woman is holding us back.
