2. Bill Maher is a comedian...

But his overall point is correct...What drives "some" Liberals crazy is Sam Harris because he presents an in depth well thought out EVIDENCE BASED intelligent argument they have no counter for other than to do what Reza Aslan & GLen Greenwald did & that was take a page out of FOX "News" playbook & insult him personally & purposefully twist selected quotes from his books to make it seem like Sam Harris is just a bigoted fool. SAD!

Now we know since this happened Reza Aslan has NO PhD in ANY history or religious studies & is NOT a "Professor of religious studies" or a "Historian" as he LIES and claims he is! One of the idiots (will not mention his name) Cenk from the TYT had on his show to simply present more personal attacks on Sam Harris has been exposed as a serial plagiarist & none of these so-called "Liberals" has yet presented an intelligent argument countering Sam Harris' claims that has not been thoroughly debunked.

When so-called "Liberals" like Ben Affleck, Reza Aslan, Glen Greenwald, etc., automatically call someone a "BIGOT" or "RACIST" as soon as they criticize Islam or the core beliefs within Islam it ENDS ALL DEBATE...Which is precisely why they do it! However, in their haste to pump up their own false egotistically driven "Liberalism" they are hurting so many moderate Muslims who want this discussion to happen & not be shut down by claims of bigotry & racism...Because there is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between Sam Harris making an intelligent argument that Islam needs to be reformed from the inside by Muslims with SUPPORT from Liberals & THE bigoted racist like Pamela Geller. HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Here is an "Open Letter to Ben Affleck" from a female Muslim blogger in Pakistan who lays it all out in what to me is a a cry for help to folks like Ben Affleck to slow down & think, LISTEN...People like Sam Harris & Bill Maher are NOT the people you should be directing your "anger" at!!

I was wondering which bits people would object with, or if the objection would be more general, such believing Maher's rhetoric could lead to more support for Middle Eastern wars.

Actually, it's a lame, desperate try, since he did no such thing.

In America, you are free to believe that it's ok to execute someone based solely on their religious beliefs, but it's not a liberal position.
