And Obama might yet be a major player and strategist, like Sun Tzu and his Art of War. Like the old master in Kung Fu, he is firing back a political Koan to the Republicans and saying: So, Glasshopper - can you govern? Or, put differently, What is the sound of one hand governing?
Or, looked at from another perspective, the Republicans are like whiny, demanding, spoiled brats who have suddenly been handed the keys to dad's car. How long can they drive the vehicle of government without crashing it, and keep the ship of government on an even keel? Or do they even care? And how long will it be before the American people, in the ultimate court of public opinion, decide to ground them and take away the keys?
Sure Obama is human and flawed like all the rest of us, and he tried for far too long to compromise with the Republicans, or so it seemed, but he's also very intelligent and competent. And this looks like a moment of sheer brilliance! Like a master of Aikido, he could have just turned one of his core weaknesses into a great strength, like Yin changing to Yang.
