I particularly liked how he clearly called for a Trillion dollars to go to infrastructure repair ...citing Inhofe and other republican, as strong proponents of infrastructure investment.

Then, he lost me with a single line ... he suggested that all that needs to happen to make this happen is President Obama "showing (strong) leadership" on this issue.

on economic issues. It makes Obama uncertain. Obama is extremely intelligent. Sometimes I think his instincts push him toward one policy and then his intellect and his rather conservative advisers push him toward a more fearful, less effective policy. It may be due to this sort of split between instinct, intuition if you will, and his mind telling him to follow the advise of the "experts" on his staff and in his cabinet that he gives people the impression that he is not leading.

He is very thoughtful in what he does. Sometimes he does not seem very confident in his decisions. Maybe his heart is leading him in one direction and his head in another.

That is must my guess as to why people have the impression that he does not lead strongly. When I compare him to other very great presidents, they too listened to advisers. All of them made mistakes. We have never had a perfect president.

But some presidents are a lot more confident than others. Jimmy Carter was not very confident. Bill Clinton was positively ebullient much of the time. Teddy Roosevelt was cocky. Obama is very cautious. That has a good side, but also a bad side.

I think we who want progressive change will be considering our options. Both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders would make great presidents. Let's see who runs.
