Tis’ the season… for decorating with cats around. Cole and Marmalade have a ball “helping” thier human decorate the tree for the holiday season. Marmalade takes her fair share of climbing the tree, batting at ornaments, knocking the tree over and more climbing of the tree. Meanwhile, Cole makes off with an ornament but prefers the cat tree to the decoration. At least they’re getting in the holiday spirit.

Cats VS Christmas Trees ... the battle continues!

Even though I knew we couldn't leave the Christmas tree up this year because it would be dangerous and Marmalade would more than likely eat something he shouldn't… Marmalade is currently going through chemotherapy and fighting cancer so I decided to put it up anyway so he could have some fun!

As you can see from the look of joy and mischief on his face it was well worth the effort

1. That's the best way I know of to bring a Christmas tree crashing down.

All those glass ornaments broken. The short circuited lights sizzling and sparking -- hopefully not a natural (flammable) pine tree, although plastic is also very flammable.

With all this said, I heartily support cat ornaments, as many as can be presented. (Nota bene: I did not say "hung".)

I grew up in the 1950's when Christmas mayhem was not only expected, but mandatory.

Bring on the cats, my friend. Let the ornaments tumble.

4. We hanged our tree with popcorn

threads and woke up to find a very sick cat. Cost $600 at the vets for an operation to remove the thread from his intestines.
