In 2005, an 83 year-old World War II pilot is surprised to see 16mm footage of his 1944 Spitfire crash for the first time.
SPITFIRE 944 was put on YouTube as part of the Sundance Film Festival Memorial Day observance through from May 22 through June 5, 2013 (UPDATE, ShortsHD is allowing the film to stay on youtube for the moment The Sundance portal is here: http://www.sundance.org/stories/artic...

What a small world. My mother headed up the intelligence wing at that base under general Peck. She she died about 5 years ago at 93 years old, and would have loved to see this.

Thanks so much for that.
My mother was in the Red Cross in India and Burma in 1944 & 45. I wish I had some film from then, I've only got a few snapshots from then.
