their propaganda. Jack Anderson was the last real investigative reporter I recall.

Jack Northman Anderson (October 19, 1922 – December 17, 2005) was an American newspaper columnist, syndicated by United Features Syndicate, considered one of the fathers of modern investigative journalism. Anderson won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for his investigation on secret American policy decision-making between the United States and Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. In addition to his newspaper career, Anderson also had a syndicated radio show with the Mutual Broadcasting Network, acted as Washington bureau chief of Parade magazine, and was a commentator on ABC-TV's Good Morning America for nine years.[1]

Jack Anderson was a key and often controversial figure in reporting on J. Edgar Hoover's apparent ties to the Mafia, the Watergate scandal, and the John F. Kennedy assassination.[2]

You only need a bit of psychology to corrupt an entire community. The Mercedes Benz song pretty much explains it. "Oh Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz, my friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends."

You start by creating divisions in a community. The intention is to pull in people who feel like they have been wronged all their lives. Work on their desire to make a quick score. 'Hey, if you don't take advantage of this opportunity (no matter how corrupt), someone else will." Before you know it, you have a group of supporters who are willing to follow any idea, no matter how unconstitutional.

These groups go by many names. Chamber of Commerce is the most prominent.

The concept of exploiting people who come from modest means to disrupt social order or exploit unsuspecting communities is also described in the book, "Diary of an Economic Hitman."
