that in the winter it's too cold and wet to go outside. When it's warm and dry why not just walk?

It's a cute novelty, but it seems utterly pointless to me.

I have a 12 mile commute each way to work. I do it on a bike but if there was a reason a bike wouldn't work for me, something like this would make the commute doable. Walking that distance without an assist of some sort (mechanical or electric) would be a major obstacle.

I guess it makes sense as transportation, but not as a form of exercise. I wasn't really thinking of it as transportation.

My problem is my lungs are extremely sensitive to cold air, and being 70 years old, I prefer walking on the treadmill where the warm air from the register blows right on me while I walk. In the summer I walk outside, though, which is much more enjoyable than indoor walking, I must admit. (Somebody should make a Youtube video of "A Walk in the Park" for people to watch while they walk on the treadmill. hehe)

It looks heavy, and pushing that monster up a hill will complete your cardio workout.
