1. Is it any wonder with a religious faith with over a billion adherents insisting that demons are real

I mean, is it any wonder at all?

Captain WonderPope insists that demonic possession is a thing. Is it any wonder some of his stupider followers might do drastic, nonsensical, horrible things in at his encouragement? To insist that you have imaginary enemies, that they are real, and that they must be fought, has consequences. Some people will attempt to fight. When you're already that far off the reservation of rationality, who knows what can happen.

Since these people were not Catholics why are you invoking Pope Francis for your ire
The video says the pastor and his wife
Catholic clergy may not get married
So what does the Pope have to do with this incident?

etation of the bible.

I see evangelicals waxing positive about what the pope says all the time, when convenient to their values.

It is possible to be a completely exceptional standout that literally interprets old testament text on your own, without looking to the assumptions of the larger Christian herd (WBC would be an example) but that's a much more rare condition.

He clearly says..."Religion will drive people to do crazy things regardless of what religion it is" yet when Sam Harris makes the same exact argument he is an "Islamophobe"!! LOL!

The 3hr conversation he had with Sam Harris was amazing because Cenk had NOTHING in way of an intellectual argument that countered anything Sam was saying...Matter of fact he agreed with Sam on 99.99999% of everything he was saying & what he did not agree with him on he had no counter he just claimed Sam was wrong but could not say why. Then Cenk will turn right around after that 3hr conversation & continue calling Sam Harris an "Islamophobe"...It really makes Cenk look bad. Not to mention how nasty Glenn Greenwald got acting like the nastiest Republican hit man out there flat out lying about things Sam has said taking quotes from his books completely out of context...I really lost so much respect for him & now question so much of his past reporting on other issues. SAD.

8. Cenk engages in special pleading a lot. It's unfortunate, since he's a journalist.
