Benzene diet? No, thanks. California farmers angry at fracking wastewater use amidst record drought

- I'm so old I remember when there were people who thought Jerry Brown was too liberal for California. But that was when he was younger and obviously before he entered into his current oil & gas period.

That's like a midlife crisis on a statewide basis......

Make everyone drink a glass of this contaminated water that is supporting this fracking------in public to show everyone that it is safe for consumption----end of story.

I am outraged that Governor Brown and our Democratic controlled Legislature would, first and foremost, come down on California taxpayers and restrict our water use while turning a blind eye toward gas and oil conglomerates - who already have a fantastic deal with California by not having to pay a DIME in taxes for extracting oil and gas out of our lands and sea unlike Alaska, Texas, and yes, North Dakota - when California consumers only use 20% of California's total water supply.

This double-standard is outrageous and it needs to stop...but where is Big Labor now? Emily's List? Environmental groups? Where are they holding Democrats in California to account for this double standard in favor of the rich?
