I so wish there was a hell - so many many candidates. Thug police I am talking to you.

Having been raised a catholic, I always thought the whole, confession = forgiveness thing (after the appropriate number of our fathers and hail mary's have been recited) is highly suspect.

Religion is frequently just another way to make yourself feel superior.

Religion does make me feel superior. I see the TV preachers and hear the pronouncements of religiously motivated politicians, and I can't help thinking, "I'm better than that jerk!"

It's the ones who think they are forgiven for every rotten thing they do, who you have to keep an eye on.

quaint we have the three tin foil hats sitting on a white couch asking questions.
This is the same organization that doesn't pay taxes, in fact no church pays taxes on there income or property--does he pay taxes on income.
I wonder if he gets in his pulpit and says anything political to the voter.
I wonder what he thinks of agnostics

Thank you David Pakman

He's right. Reagan was an atheist, and I didn't trust him. Worse than being an atheist, he relied on astrology, a strange mixture of religious superstition and pseud-science mumbo-jumbo. When these guys speak, they seldom think of what their words really mean.

Hel is a being who presides over a realm of the same name, where she receives a portion of the dead. "To go to Hel" is to die. Hel gets all of those who die of old age or of sickness. The Norse equivalent of Heaven is Valhalla and you get to go there is you die in battle.

Personally, I'd prefer Hel.

Their "heaven" - an eternity spent mindless and existing only to worship the spooky sky daddy with no end to it EVER - would be my "hell". The other thing that makes it a virtual certainty is that their vindictive sky daddy will have to punish me by forcing me to spend my eternity in the worst imaginable place....with THEM!

Ha...(mic drop)

In all seriousness, anyone watching Fox News is already a lost cause. The fact that they subject themselves to it willingly tells me all I need to know about their sanity. I would never vote for ANYONE who watches that pap on a regular basis...

are the same ones who will tell you that they recite multiple rosaries every day; attend mass several times a week; and show you a stack of religious publications they regularly read that stand several inches tall.

On the other hand, I know a few who don't practice religion and they seem to live more under more humane and moral principles than the holy rollers described earlier.

are NOT just Catholics. Why do you think it's said, the hours of church, in amerikkka, on Sunday, are the most segregated gatherings in this society. Tells me a lot. I went to a church once, didn't last long by the way, where the preacher, unsaid out loud, wanted the black people to sit in one group on one side during his the services, and yes it was every Sunday that I attended. I finally brought my friend who was a different race than I one time and we sat together. We were told we would have to sit apart from now on if we wanted to attend 'his' church. Never went back.

Disgusting, the hypocrisy that passes as christian and most religions' 'love' in this world.
