Oral Arguments - Audio, Obergefell v. Hodges; and Transcript

Last edited Thu Apr 30, 2015, 09:28 AM - Edit history (2)

The DC C-SPAN radio affiliate at 90.1 MHz was playing the audio clips of yesterday's oral arguments during dinner time. Maybe they still are.

I've tried looking at the website for a link to that, but it keeps asking me the dates of the videos I want to view.

The SCOTUS may not be ready for video, but they do have audio: Oral Argument - Audio, Obergefell v. Hodges.

Here's the transcript:

Audio: SCOTUS marriage hearing (part 1; Question 1) and SCOTUS MARRIAGE TRANSCRIPT (Q1)

Audio: SCOTUS marriage hearing (part 2; Question 2) and SCOTUS MARRIAGE TRANSCRIPT (Q2)

Kate Kendell On The SCOTUS Arguments

Quoting National Center for Lesbian Rights Executive Director Kate Kendell, being interviewed on the front steps of SCOTUS on April 28 following oral arguments:

First question: Is it a violation of Constitutional principles to not permit same-sex couples to marry?

Second question: If a couple gets married in a state, a home state, and then they move to another state, is it a violation of Constitutional principles for that new state that they live in to not recognize their marriage?
