WATCH: Cruise Ship Rocks Out to White Stripes Leaving Port of Hamburg

http://gcaptain.com/watch-cruise-ship-rocks-out-to-white-stripes-leaving-port-of-hamburg/

MSC Splendida is seen here saluting the crowd by playing The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army (and maybe some We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions) as it leaves the Port of Hamburg, May 1, 2015. Apparently this is a thing in Hamburg, but it just doesn’t seem to get old.

That annoys the shit out of me (and it's not the songs). The older I get, the more I hate bass. valerief May 2015 #1

Interesting. Violins don't bother me, but I've always hated the high twang of electric guitars. valerief May 2015 #13

I found out that as we age, our hearing range shifts so that higher sounds are harder to hear but lower ones are easier. That's probably why bass annoys the shit out of me now and didn't when I was younger. Or maybe there just weren't thunder cars then.

OADN, every time I look at a cruise ship now I think of food poisoning.

That's it from Debbie Downer.

I think you just explained how she could hear that - and virtually nothing else!

Seriously.

The more I like the bass end. It comfortingly reminds me that I still have a pulse and some semblance of a soul. High, Major, and/or shrill notes, like from violins, sound screechy and annoying now, for me.

Still do. Probably why rock music has never appealed to me. That and the no melodies in rock songs.

Tune played at every college football game. Along with Queen.

Very appalling how commercialism usurps rock.

That cruise line and Iggy Pop 'Lust for Life'? WTF!

Jesus wept when this happened:

I got to see the cruise ships sail up the Hudson River. I couldn't believe how big some of them were. When I said that one looked "like a floating apartment building," a coworker replied, "It IS a floating apartment building!"
