So what ended up happening? Did he get a ticket for something? Did the supervisor show up?

Eventually the police just left.

What struck me in a profound way and helped me understand what its like to be black was when he said he was afraid to reach for his cell phone because it might look like he was reaching for a gun and give them reason to shoot him. These are real fears black folks have to deal with in these types of situations.

I wonder how he's doing.

I can't even imagine what it's like to be "driving while black" these days.

What was the deal about the tinted windows?

That's why you will see five cars show up for a simple event. Because nothing else is going on.

A husband and wife start arguing and something gets smashed in anger and the next thing you know the cops swarm the scene complete with the chopper flying overhead shining it's light down. Neighbors get curious over what's happening and suddenly the cops have a crowd control situation. I've seen it escalate to the point where they set up a command post and staging area to bust someone for smoking pot.

How long would you sit there after the cops pulled away without you knowing why? Almost seems like a set up. They are waiting for you to pull away and then they pull you over again for leaving.

Also, he was fortunate that his headlight didn't go out while he was on this drive. I've had a headlight go out on me while driving. It was fine when I left the house but when I got to my destination it was out.

when done with work. I must have been pulled over 7 or 8 times and the rangers almost always told me I had a break light out or was going over the center line. I would get home and check my break lights and of course they worked fine. Eventually I started being blunt with them and letting them know that I had been told this numerous times on my ride home from work and there was never any truth to it. They were hoping to find a drunk driver. I suspect by the way this guy sounds, the headlight BS had been used on him before.

He was completely prepared for everything the cop said and did. He must have discussed the whole thing thoroughly with a lawyer.
