Related: About this forumBernie Sanders: How to Solve America's Biggest Problems
Published on Apr 11, 2015
Watch Bernie and be inspired! Vermont's Independent U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders speaks on topics from climate change to income inequality in a Town Hall Meeting in Austin, Texas, on March 31st, 2015.
You cannot listen to Sen. Sanders without a tremendous amount of admiration. He truly speaks for the people, and judging by the reaction of the listeners, he's reaching hearts and minds everywhere. His honesty and integrity shines...if only every person who is elected had half of his integrity, we'd be in good hands. Sadly there's only one Bernie, but when people listen to him, they understand who we need to be our next president...if you care about issues such as Citizens United, you already understand we need a social movement to turn this oligarchy around and return to accountability.

(17,751 posts)Sanders voted for the Kosovo war (opposing his own progressive party in Vermont).
He did not vote with Barbara Lee against Bush to get a blank war check.
He opposed his own states resolution to impeach Bush 2006.
He voted in full favor of Resolution 921 giving Israel support to launch war on Lebanon.
His staff is in alignment with AIPAC.
He voted for bill 8621 to levy full sanctions on palestinians and Iran.
He voted for Clintons anti terrorism act which laid the foundations for Bushes War on terror.
He is the MAIN beneficiary of the COMPLETE 1.3 TRILLION dollar fiasco F35 Bomber!
None of which is progressive.
Prediction: he will get into the race and raise all the important issues then withdraw and support Hillary Clinton, a past lawyer for Monsanto and beneficiary of most of the evil corporations involved in politics.

By the way, Bernie DID NOT buy this nonsense, circa 2002:
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al-Qaeda members."
--Sen. Hillary Clinton, Oct. 10, 2002
