I wanted to see the fights between the teabagger congress critters trying to deny aid like they did for Sandy Hook. I believe Texans like the Cuban-Canadian immigrant Ted Cruz were part of the anti-aid cabal.

that the people of Houston elected an openly gay woman to be mayor? We are slowly going purple.

Isn't that what the Repubs do?
And you got Sandy Hook wrong, that was the massacre of 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the aid denied was for SuperStorm Sandy.

Not looking to punish Texans.

Just looking forward to the hypocrites who denied Sandy victims of aid looking like fools arguing for aid for themselves after denying it for others.

I want to see the hypocritical teabaggers who voted against Sandy aid GROVEL for aid and have to fight non-
teabagger repugs to justify their help me but screw everyone else attitude.

I want to see them destroy each other with their hypocrisy.

You realize how petty that sounds in the midst of a disaster with lives lost, hundreds of homes destroyed, citizens who have lost EVERYTHING?
You really want to be that mean spirited just because the Repubs are? You want to mimic them?

Mimic them. Of course not. Everyone knows the aid will come. I'm referring to the politics of teabagger infighting, which I happen to enjoy watching as they shred each other.

but you said in an earlier post that you wished Pres. Obama hadn't offered TX the emergency aid, that, IMHO, seems petty and mean spirited.
But, whatever, have a great evening.

It was interesting to see our city from a national/New York view point. The bayous save us from normal flooding, but the Memorial Day storm was not like any I've seen in my 35 years of Gulf Coast deluges here. I've never heard continuous thunder like that. During Allison in 2001 it rained an inch an hour for 36 hours. This time, the storm was shorter, but it rained 4 inches an hour. Nothing can handle that amount of water without problems. We have a great mayor. I'm going to miss her.
