But, while I hold no brief for bad cops and those that cover for bad cops, I don't see how this video relates to the one released on Amy Goodman's program.

Sometimes an LEO is just a guy doing a good deed.

anyway, that is my guess.
Those deer do that - they seem to be hypnotized by headlights. Turning off the headlights and leaving them off for as long as you can will sometimes help but whatever you do - don't turn them on and off repeatedly - that just makes it worse.

That is a good patrolman - the ones around here really do love the wildlife.

I've had to get out and yell at them to get out of the road. That was just too cute. He obviously loves animals.

Oh, and the deer was not literally frozen, it was figuratively frozen.

And I've had a couple of good scares where I came close on Hwy 126 out of Eugene. Yes, I think the horn does the trick. Officer needs national recognition for this form of humanity.
