it was put on the ballot during the NC Republican primary and though it was available to Democrats on the ballot, not many- if any- came out to vote on it.

So it was a party line vote and not representative of the whole state.

anyone else heard this?

If you did nothing but listen to Faux Snooze, corporate media & the RW propaganda mills, you'd think that blacks were abandoning Pres Obama & the Dems in droves because of their support for marriage equality.

and panders to that narrow viewpoint, then yeah.

But if you put this in its proper context--about the majority being able to strip basic human rights from those they do not like--then you will see exactly what you see in this video clip.

When children and unmarried couples who are living together begin being negatively impacted by this mess, then is when there will be talk of a repeal of it. Frankly, it should be unconstitutional for a state to strip federally guaranteed rights from anyone in that state.
