Capitalism as practiced in the USA is predicated on "growth". Unlimited growth in a world of finite resources is not possible. Unless the paradigm changes to sustainability and quality of life we are condemned to Malthus's dire predictions. In the short run, vote Democratic and get the dinosaur RepubliCONs out of Congress, they don't know how to share and play nice.
