I would hate to be the one to take care of his coat, though. That's a lot of work.

For a dog, a walk is a social event. No wonder he cheated - just walking on a treadmill must have been really dull and pointless to him. They don't make mp3 players for dogs.

The day is not complete without a nice walk with my two dogs (and daughters if they are available). The one issue I have in Iowa is the winters. What I do is walk under some overhangs at the elementary nearest us. It makes for lots of turns and going over the same location again and again, but at least I get to spend quality time with my dogs.

18. OMGosh this is so funny.....such a beautiful dog.

when we had our wiener dogs, we'd let them walk and sniff an just take their time, we figured they were just checking out what was going on in the neighborhood, kind of like us reading the paper. We have neighbors that just drag their dogs when walking them, and I feel sad for the dogs not being able to catch all the news when being dragged along.
