I was anorexic at her age and was hospitalized for it. My BMI probably wasn't much different than hers, and my hips were certainly wider (but I have a broad pelvis and broad shoulders; I've never been smaller than a size seven even with every rib showing and my hip bones jutting out). Back then one of the biggest names in the industry was Cindy Crawford. Today she would be considered "plus size". It's crazy!

they don't want a woman's wonderful curves to draw attention away from the clothing.

Horrors!

If they want models who are butt-less, they should go with skinny 12 year old boys. Most women would appreciate seeing clothing modeled by women who are shaped the way that they are. How can you know how a dress will really look like on you if all you can see is a size 0 model?

More of an androgynous look but somebody is buying the clothes or we would see some shift.
