MSNBC Host Steve Kornacki Smacks Down Liberty Counsel Head Mat Staver On Kim Davis Case

Kornacki: “If she says she has a moral and religious objection to same-sex marriage I think it raises the question, does she have a moral and religious objection to a divorced person getting re-married? Does she have a moral and religious objection to someone who’s engaged in premarital relations getting married? Where does this end?”

and the license could have something else on it.

Aside from hanging her out to dry (which isn't such a bad idea, after all) why hasn't something been done about this, if true?

The Governor said he would not call a special session to change the procedure, instead; the Clerk should do her job. I don't think there should be a compromise; she ran for the office, let her do her damned job or resign.

is that the court failed to uphold religious bigotry of individuals while upholding it for businesses. In other words, Hobby Lobby has a right to discriminate against women on religious bigotry grounds. An individual has no such right.

This court seems hell bent on stripping the Bill of Rights from individuals and transferring it to organizations and perhaps fetuses. In other words, rights no longer belong to the living, only to the non living.

Other than that, I'm glad this smug twit's appeal was rejected. Now she needs to be thrown out of the job she refuses to perform.

He lost and now all he can do is try to convince the Judge to be lenient in finding his client in contempt of Court. He should have advised his client to take a leave of absence until the case was decided.

Now the situation only concerns her contempt of Court and ignoring the Federal Judges order.

I'm guessing that she only marries men.

Reminds me of the story of the Walmart greeter who tried to be cheery when a lady from the hollows came into the store with a couple of crying kids that she was roundly swatting. The greeter said "Ma'am, are they twins?" To which she responded, "No you dope - can't you see that they are 3 years apart?". His reply, "Oh, I just couldn't imagine anyone having more than one child with you...."
